Saudi Housing Minister Says Project Management Key to Vision 2030

Riyadh: Saudi Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail emphasized on Sunday at the Global Forum in Riyadh that project management is one of the most important drivers of national trust and a critical factor in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He explained that Vision 2030 aims to create a prosperous future by transforming the Kingdom’s economic, social, and developmental landscape, with project management playing a pivotal role in improving execution and quality control of government projects in full alignment with national objectives.

The fourth Global Project Management Forum, which began its first day with over 120 speakers and Arab News as a media partner, gathers experts for workshops and discussions on industry best practices, supporting Saudi Arabia’s rapid development.

Al-Hogail noted that amid accelerating changes and rising challenges, project management is central to reshaping urban spaces, meeting citizens’ needs, and enhancing sustainability.

He highlighted that more than 133,000 entities are involved in construction projects nationwide, and such momentum depends on conscious planning, flexibility, and adaptability-hallmarks of modern project management.

The minister also pointed out that project management has evolved to become smarter, with strong predictive and sustainable planning capabilities that contribute to building a diversified and resilient economy.

The two-day forum features 50 strategic and technical sessions, over 40 exhibitors, and the signing of 60 agreements to foster partnerships between various entities, further advancing the Kingdom’s development ambitions.
